One of the most interesting automotive shows of the year is held each November in Las Vegas. The SEMA Show, which stands for Specialist Equipment Market Association, is a place to showcase aftermarket parts and custom cars. At the 2019 show, Chevrolet unveiled an impressive Silverado HD Z71 Sport Concept.
The custom Silverado HD truck comes with high-intensity LED headlamps, off-road tires, custom exterior graphics, a body-color grille with chrome inserts, a spray-on bedliner, body-color front and rear bumpers, and body-color door handles. It comes with the same off-road features as a standard Z71 truck, but it adds bold exterior styling elements.
Chevrolet has yet to say if this concept truck package is headed to production. However, you can still get an awesome Chevrolet Silverado HD with the Z71 Off-Road Package that includes a metal underbody shield, electronic Hill Descent Control, and Rancho® shocks.
The redesigned 2020 Silverado HD gives you the choice of two impressive engines. The standard engine is a 6.6-liter V8 gas engine rated at 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, it offers a maximum trailering weight rating of 17,370 pounds. There is also the available Duramax® 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8 that delivers 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, you can tow up to 35,500 pounds in a properly-equipped Silverado HD.
