The 2020 Silverado HD is here, and it’s better than ever. Wondering what’s new on the 2020 model year? You’ll find added performance thanks to new powertrain choices, a refined exterior and interior design, and new infotainment technologies. The 2020 Silverado HD design is bound to impress virtually any driver.
One of the biggest changes to the 2020 model year is under the hood. There’s a new gasoline powertrain and a new transmission, as well as better towing and hauling capabilities. The 2020 Silverado HD also offers a diesel option to power you through the day — a robust 6.6-liter Duramax® V8 Turbo-Diesel engine with direct injection that’s rated at a staggering 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. The all-new Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission provides better performance than the six-speed transmission delivered on the 2019 Silverado HD.
In terms of design, the 2020 Silverado HD is also about 5 inches longer and 1.5 inches wider, and the exterior adds a power up/down tailgate and new side steps to help you access the bed with ease. The interior of the new Silverado HD is also larger, and you’ll find new infotainment features such as trailering apps, available wireless charging (on compatible devices), and more USB ports.
